The Youth Ministry Collective exists to encourage, equip, and resource leaders who are discipling middle and high school students across the Global Methodist Church of South Carolina. Through statewide retreats, trainings, and resource-sharing, we help leaders grow in their ability to plan, teach, disciple, and shepherd students with Gospel clarity and Wesleyan conviction. Our collective provides a network for collaboration, encouragement, and spiritual renewal, ensuring no leader walks this journey alone. Whether you’re new to youth ministry or a seasoned leader, this community is here to strengthen and support your calling as we work together to help students encounter Christ, grow in faith, and live as His disciples.

Get ready, 2026 Summer Serve registration is now OPEN!  This summer, the GMC of SC, in partnership with 4 locations across the state, will host Summer Serve camps for our students. This is a great opportunity to provide a service option for students and their adult leaders, while also serving with local GMC churches and local partners. The dates and locations we’re offering for Summer 2026 are as follows:

o   Holy City Missions Summer Serve Camp 1– Aldersgate Methodist Church, N. Charleston, SC (June 13th-20th)

o   Holy City Missions Summer Serve Camp 2 – Aldersgate Methodist Church, N.  Charleston, SC (July 11th-18th) CAMP WEEK IS FULL

o   Pee Dee-Dillon Harvest Summer Serve Camp – Main Street GMC and  - Dillon, SC (July 11th-18th)

o   Upstate Summer Serve Camp - Covenant Church, Greer, SC (July 25th-August 1st)

o   Midlands Summer Serve Camp -  Wightman Methodist Church, Prosperity, SC (July 25th-August 1st)

Holy City Missions Summer Serve Camp:

Location: Holy City Missions at Aldersgate Methodist - Charleston, SC

Dates: Camp Week 1: June 13th - 20th / Camp Week 2: July 11th - 18th

Who: Students 6th - 12th Grade

Capacity:  36 (including adult leaders)

Cost: $250.00 per person

Description: Jump directly into poverty missions serving the homeless at Holy City Missions and becoming the hands and feet of Christ.  We will prepare and serve meals, set up and meet community members at the food bank, provide for all needs of the Remount Road area served in partnership with Aldersgate Global Methodist Church. Each day, we will serve in the mornings, in the afternoons we will learn how Christians are making a missional difference in Charleston and around the world (ex. Water Mission, Lowcountry Food Bank, Star Gospel Mission).  In the evenings, we will worship and devote ourselves to the Lord, growing together as a team. 

Pee Dee - Dillon Harvest Camp Summer Serve Camp:

Location: Main Street GMC - Dillon, SC

Dates: July 11th - 18th

Who: Students who are 14 years old and up (due to the demands of the work)

Capacity:  50 (including adult leaders)

Cost: $250.00 per person

Description: Get ready for Summer Serve at Main Street GMC!  Prepare to partner with Christ to serve homeowners in need in the Dillon County area. Each home is different so projects will vary from roofing, building handicap ramps, painting, flooring, among other projects determined per site. Our goal is to be representatives of Jesus Christ serving with unconditional love as we build relationships and literally become the hands and feet of Christ meeting the needs of real people in need. This is a physically demanding camp where campers will learn how to build and serve in very practical ways. We will work, eat, have fun, and worship together creating bonds that build up the Kingdom of God together.

Upstate Summer Serve Camp:

Location: Covenant Church - Greer, SC

Dates: July 25th - August 1st

Who: Students 6th - 12th Grade

Capacity:  75 (including adult leaders)

Cost: $250.00 per person

Description: Get ready for Summer Serve Upstate at Covenant Church! We're hosting students from all over the state for a powerful week of hands-on mission, service, and worship as we partner with over 20 local organizations dedicating time and energy to create meaningful work in the community. This week will be filled with work that will not only help the local community but also build positive relationships with fellow students, local partners, and the people we serve, focusing on connection while sharing the love of Jesus. Experience the opportunity to make a tangible difference, grow your faith, and experience community in action. Students and Leaders will not only get to serve across the Upstate but will get to worship each night with one another, fellowship, grow in connection, and learn what it means to be on "mission for Jesus". We hope to see you this summer in the Upstate!

Midlands Summer Serve Camp:

Location: Wightman Methodist Church - Prosperity, SC

Dates: July 25th - August 1st

Who: Students 9th - 12th Grade

Capacity:  35 (including adult leaders)

Cost: $250.00 per person

Description:  Get ready for Summer Serve at Wightman Methodist Church!  The Midlands Summer Serve camp will aim to be a weatherization and repair ministry. Students will work alongside adults to make repairs to substandard housing. This Summer Serve retreat will be limited to high schoolers (9th - 12th graders) due to the nature of the work.  Our goal is to embody the love of Jesus Christ through compassionate service, building genuine relationships as we care for homeowners with real and pressing needs. This is an active, hands-on camp where students will learn practical construction and repair skills while serving others in meaningful ways. Through working side by side, sharing meals, worshiping, and enjoying community together, we will form lasting bonds that strengthen one another and contribute to the work of God’s Kingdom.
