BEHOLD 2026 RECAP
This year’s GMC of SC Behold Conference was filled with meaningful decisions that will shape the future of our conference for years to come.
A major focus was the Harvest Vision Plan as we continue our two-year emphasis on evangelism. Churches across South Carolina are being equipped to build a culture of intentional outreach, with more congregations engaging in Alpha and other evangelistic efforts to reach their communities with the hope of Jesus.
Conference members also adopted the 2027 budget, approved a new Reserve Fund Disbursement Policy to strategically invest in Next Gen Ministries, Church Planting, and a future Clergy Pipeline, celebrated the ordination of 11 deacons, and established new Prayer and Communications Teams to strengthen the work of the conference.
We're grateful for God's faithfulness and excited to see how He continues to move through the GMC of SC. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, served, prayed, and helped make this year's conference such a meaningful time together!

SPEAKERS
Dr. Matt O’Reilly is lead pastor at Christ Church Birmingham, Director of Research at Wesley Biblical Seminary, and a senior fellow of the Center for Pastor Theologians. A two-time recipient of the Stott Award for Pastoral Engagement, he is author of Free to Be Holy: A Biblical Theology of Sanctification and Paul and the Resurrected Body: Social Identity and Ethical Practice.
Bishop Kenneth R. Levingston has served as a local pastor to God’s people across rural, urban, suburban, and multicultural settings for over 41 years. Deeply rooted in the authority of Scripture, his ministry is anchored by a steadfast commitment to preaching the grace and truth of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
For the past 18 years, Bishop Levingston has served as the Senior Pastor of Jones Memorial (The Higher Way Church). Following his church’s disaffiliation from its former denomination, he demonstrated his heart for connectional ministry by serving as a “Circuit Rider” between Jones Memorial, St. Paul, and Pleasant Grove Methodist Churches from 2023 through December 2025.
In 2024, at the Convening General Conference of the Global Methodist Church, he was consecrated as one of six newly elected Bishops. In this role, he works faithfully to fulfill the Great Commission—making disciples of Jesus Christ and spreading scriptural holiness across the globe.
Bishop Levingston has been married for 38 years to his wife Shanda Kaye and they have two daughters Brittany and Ke’Andra.
Bishop Carolyn Moore is a two-time graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, and has served as a pastor and church planter in the Methodist tradition since 1998. She writes, preaches and teaches widely on holiness, prayer, and the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Find her blog and podcast at ArtOfHoliness.com. She is the author of four Bible studies (Encounter Jesus, Encounter the Spirit, Encounter the Father and Supernatural, and two books (The 19; and When Women Lead).
Carolyn served from its inception on the leadership team of the Wesleyan Covenant Association, first as vice-Chair then as Chair. In the years that the Wesleyan Covenant Association was developing a vision for the Global Methodist Church, she traveled widely to speak about the work. Perhaps her most notable contribution was as the leader of the WCA's intercessory prayer team. She also served on the team that developed doctrinal statements for the denomination.
Carolyn has been joyfully married since 1986 to Steve Moore, a retired public school teacher and avid student of U.S. History. Together, they have one daughter, a son-in-law (also a GMC pastor), two grandchildren, and two spiritual children they call their own.
