Lay Ministry Collective - Winter Enrichment

DRT Training
Disaster Response Teams (DRTs) are made up of trained volunteers from local churches who are mobilized to serve during the “Response Phase” of disaster. DRT volunteers are equipped to assess, tarp, muck out, remove debris, and assist in a variety of distributions and services including food and water, or helping with disaster administrative tasks. There are so many ways DRTs help survivors during this crucial phase!

South Carolina Global Methodist Confirmation Retreat

We’re thrilled to invite confirmands and their leaders from across the Global Methodist Church of South Carolina to our first-ever state-wide Confirmation Retreat! Held at the beautiful Gravatt Camp and Conference Center!
Designed for students of all ages and at any stage of their church’s confirmation journey - whether you’re just getting started in March or nearing the finish line - this retreat will provide a shared experience that deepens understanding, builds connection, and strengthens commitment. Together, we’ll explore what it means to say "yes" to Jesus Christ, to the Church, and to a lifetime of discipleship in the Global Methodist tradition.
Throughout the weekend, confirmands will:
Discover the deeper meaning behind our membership vows.
Reflect on faith as a journey, not a destination.
Learn how confirmation is not the end, but the beginning of a vibrant, Spirit-empowered life in Christ.
Engage in dynamic worship, large group teaching, small group discussions, games, small groups, FUN, and meaningful moments of community with other students from around the state.
This retreat is designed to complement your local confirmation process - not replace it. Whether your students are taking their first steps or preparing for Confirmation Sunday, this retreat will unify, inspire, and equip them to live boldly for Christ.

Lay Ministry Collective Spring Enrichment Save the Date!
Saturday April 17, 2026 - Spring Enrichment "Our Social Witness"- full day stand-alone session as well as conclusion of Spring session on Lay Ministry School and conferring Certification to new Certified Lay Ministers.
