FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

tWhat is the duration of a partnership? The Missions Collective will negotiate a partnership with representatives of a proposed partner conference. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be drafted to outline the expectations and goals of a partnership, including a time frame.  Partnerships will be established for a predetermined amount of time, such as either 3 or 5 years.  Once this time frame is completed, the GMC of SC will seek to either renew those partnerships or establish new partnerships across the globe.

How do partnerships create sustainability?  Our goal is to help create sustainability for our international partners.  Therefore, the MOU will be written to step-down support during the duration of the partnership.  Drafters of the MOU will require partners to demonstrate ongoing commitment to developing sustainability in their local context.  Funding is not to be provided for ongoing pastor salaries, local church staff, or ongoing local church operations.  Funding may be provided to help stand-up the annual conference, to support the operations of the annual conference (to allow local giving to gradually assume responsibility for their annual conference), for the start-up of new churches, and for special projects (i.e. buying beds for an orphanage, buying equipment for a medical clinic, etc.). For annual conferences partners not in persecuted parts of the world, the goal is to provide funds that will help stand-up new ministries and then be assumed by local leadership.
